How to Apply the Art of War in Dating

The Art of War is one of the oldest book that talks about military strategies that became very influential to Eastern and Western military thinking, business strategies and many more. It was written by Sun Tzu and it is composed by 13 chapters.
Each and everyone of us, if we read something, we tend to explain it in our own ways applying it to our lives. Like for example in the Art of War, we don’t take the book too literal that it only talks about going and preparing for war. The wisdom that the book offers is applicable to our day to day lives and in this particular article we shall discover how can it be applicable to dating. Here are the steps that we should consider when dating and how it could be done successfully:
a. Laying Down of Plans β in this step one should be able to know all the participants involved like in a date. You should know yourself first before getting to know other people. We don’t want to be mismatched as it would be just a waste of our time. Another thing is that you should also know what you really want and not to expect much from your date. In addition, you should prepare and get ready for the date. You should present yourself as an attractive person such that your date will be fascinated by you.
b. Going to Battle β those plans and preparations should not stay in your mind forever; they should therefore be realized. The element of surprise is very important in this step such that you would not be too predictable. Get to know the likes and dislikes of your date for you to be able to take some effort to surprise them.
The book states that, βTo fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy’s resistance without even fighting.β In dating, however, one should not prioritize in trying to impress your date, but should focus on your efforts in making them fall in love with you.
