Six Kinds of Dating
These days, singles have more than one way of dating. This can be considered a good thing, since traditional dating is sometimes no longer suited for the needs of modern-day single men and women. The new and popular forms of dating are often more appropriate for busy people, so at least they can still meet potential partners in a way that is convenient or best for them. There are six common kinds of dating, and they are listed below:
1. Casual Dating
At present, singles in society are more career-driven and focused on their jobs. Their current situation doesn’t leave them much time to establish a serious relationship with another, so for the meantime they settle for casual dating. Sometimes, people hook up with sexual partners on casual dates.
2. Serious Dating
Unlike the first one, this kind of dating is done with the intention to settle down and build a family. This requires commitment from the part of both parties.
3. Double Dating
Sometimes, it is just awkward to go out with your date on your own. This is what double dating is about: it allows a dating pair to go out with another. Those who usually partake in this activity are teenagers, adults who share interests, as well as those on blind dates.
4. Blind Dating
This is the kind of dating wherein two people that haven’t been previously introduced go out for the first time. Blind dates are usually set up by people close to the single individual; it can be a family member, friend or co-worker.
5. Online Dating
This may just be the most popular kind of dating right now. Because most people don’t have time to go out and mingle the usual way, they choose on line dating to meet potential partners. It is surely more convenient for busy professionals to look for love with their computers, since communication is made easy through chat and emails. The two parties will only meet in person after knowing each other well enough.
6. Speed Dating
It may not be as popular as online dating, but it is getting to that point of prominence. Speed dating is also convenient, which is great for busy singles. This kind allows a singleton to meet as many as 20 people in one setting; each dater can speak with another from 5 to 10 minutes. This kind of dating increases a person’s chance of finding a match in a single event.
